When do I need a KombiTicket?
In general, you need a separate KombiTicket for all digital ticket types. If you have a print@home ticket, a mobile ticket, or a digital season ticket, you must obtain a separate, personalized travel authorization for the respective event via the KombiTicket portal. Retrieving a KombiTicket remains free of charge!
Showing a digital ticket medium on buses or trains without retrieving a separate KombiTicket (travel authorization) is no longer possible!
When do I not need a KombiTicket, and for which matches do different rules apply?
Holders of a
plastic season ticket or a single ticket printed on an
original VfL Bochum ticket blank (hard ticket)
do not need a separate KombiTicket for
league matches.
In this case, for the 2025/2026 season, the season ticket or single ticket directly serves as a valid travel ticket.
Important: For additional matches (e.g. DFB Cup, relegation, etc.),
the season ticket does not serve as a travel authorization.
A separate KombiTicket must be retrieved in these cases!
Further information
If you own multiple admission tickets, a corresponding personalized KombiTicket must be retrieved for each one, provided the ticket holders wish to travel by bus or train.
KombiTickets can be retrieved exclusively for home matches of VfL Bochum 1848.
KombiTickets for
tickets from the guest contingent
for VfL home matches can only be retrieved a few days before the match.
Guest fans will be informed of the exact retrieval date
following coordination between the home and visiting clubs.
Please note that the barcode length may differ for guest tickets.
The personalization of a travel authorization can be changed up to 12 hours before the respective event.
KombiTickets are valid on the day of the event for public transport within the VRR area (2nd class). The applicable fare regulations apply.
